1. Does sexting represent a form of expression that is protected by the First Amendment?

Sexting is just another form of expression which should be protected under the First Amendment.it is might the  begin to result in criminal prosecutions, and the statutory penalties are severe.


2. What can be done to protect people from the dangers of sexting while still safeguarding our First Amendment rights?


It is common for us people who in this technology which is text hobbits. awareness is better than cure, We know whats good and not, if someone who you don.t even know much better to avoid it or ignore it before acting as they wanted. to protect ourselves from danger its better to secure and know what is right for us. 



Case Study 1 – The Online Reputation War


1.  Do you think it is ethical to pursue strategy to counter online criticism and defend your organization’s reputation? Why or Why not?

Nope, it is not ethical especially in business world. If somebody or someone critics your company for doing not good in services offer then let them prove that they are correct not just posting some block propaganda to online sites.

2. What steps do you think businesses should take when promoting their products and services online? What tactics, if any, should businesses avoid?

They should promote their products or services online to those websites who are hit in the industry and were do people always accessing. By that way people could easily knew and patronized their products or services offer. But they should be aware or know how to handle situation when rivals criticize their services offer.   

3. How should IT professionals and others respond to the people with hidden agendas who post negative comments about them on social media sites? What should online visitors do to detect misinformation posted on blogs?

You know were living in a free world and it is easy to hypocrite people to do bad stuff and criticize other people work. As for those people who offer services to the customers, just let your information regarding with your product must be intact and integrate so that malicious personality could not find a way to defame or criticize the services you offer. And for those online site like social network must review always their functionality regarding to the posting they have on their website. 






Case Study 2 – Defamation Incident Impacts Lives of All Involved


1. Did the two law school students overreact filling the lawsuit over these posting? What sort of penalties should be levied against the anonymous poster?

Nope, it not just an overact issue, they were reacting because of the anonymous poster will defame their dignity and privacy, and as a person who knew her name is published to the internet it’s really annoying to know you’re involve. I think he/she must pay for what she did and cut his/her hand, feet, nose and nipples off. Only joking maybe he/she must put in jailed and never be bailed. 


2. Did Anthony Coilli act ethically in his response to the postings AutoAdmit; in his apparent “damage control” actions with the Boston law firm; in filling a lawsuit against the two Yale Law School students? 

Kind’ a ethically, he’s trying to help with the issues happened but it is never be that easy specially he’s the director of that posting site. Boston law firm must need to investigate for a  detailed process, it’s not that easy to do order in regards to the law firm of what happen in this two Yale Law School students. 



3.  Do you think that the Boston law firm was right in revoking its job offer to Ciolli? Why or Why not?

Yes, because he’s one who manage and responsible for this site. He’s always the person who pursuit in times when unwanted issues might certainly happened.





Case Study 3 - The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF)


1. Visit the EFF website at www.eff.org and develop a list of its current “hot” issues. Research one EFF issue that interest you, and right a brief paper summarizing EFF’s position.
Discuss whether you support this position and why.

Global Network Initiative Gets an Inside Look at Tech Firms’ Human Rights Practices
On April 18, the Global Network Initiative (GNI) released its annual report documenting third-party assessments conducted in 2011 and 2012 for GNI’s three founding corporate participants: Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft. GNI was formed to bring major Internet companies together with human rights organizations to improve practices around human rights, privacy and freedom of expression on the Internet. In the past year, GNI expanded to include two more corporate participants—Evoca and Websense—and Facebook have recently joined the organization as an observing member. GNI has also added seven new non-corporate members—NGOs and investors from all over the world.

 2. What reasons might a firm give for joining and supporting EFF?

The EFF intention is good in terms of protection of fundamental civil liberties relating to use of technology and free speech, privacy, innovation and consumer right which is definitely most individual wanted. Their advocacy to help people was good which might be the reason of firm support it.


3. The vice president of public affairs for your midsized telecommunications equipment company has suggested that the firm donate $ 10,000 in equipment and services to EFF and become a corporate sponsor. The CFO has asked if you, the CIO, support this action. What would you say?

Yes, this foundation is a nonprofit, international advocacy. It is good to help them in their goals to help other people. It is also a marketing strategy for the company to be a part of being a subject welfare corporate sponsor of this advocacy.
